Privacy Policy - FaviconOnline.org
Last Updated: November 26, 2025
We respect your privacy. This policy explains how FaviconOnline.org handles your data when you use our favicon generator tools. The short version: we don't collect or store your images, text, or personal data.
1. What We Collect
We collect minimal information to operate this website. Analytics data: We use Google Analytics to track page views, browser types, and general usage patterns. This helps us understand which tools are most popular and where to focus improvements. No personal identifiers are collected. Cookies: We use a small cookie to remember your theme preference (light or dark mode) and language choice (English or Spanish). These cookies stay on your device and aren't sent to our servers. Contact form data: If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email, and message. We use this only to respond to your inquiry and don't share it with third parties.
2. What We Don't Collect
Your images never leave your device. All four favicon tools (Image Converter, Text Generator, Emoji tool, Logo Creator) run 100% in your browser using JavaScript and the Canvas API. When you upload an image or enter text, it's processed locally on your computer. Nothing gets sent to our servers. We don't see your images, we don't store them, and we don't have access to them. The same goes for any text, fonts, colors, or settings you choose. Everything stays private on your device. When you close the browser tab, all data is deleted from memory.
3. Third-Party Services
We use a few third-party services to run this website. Google Analytics: Tracks anonymous usage statistics (page views, session duration, browser type). You can opt out using browser extensions like uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger. Google Fonts API: Loads font files for the Text Generator and Logo Creator tools. Google may log font requests but doesn't receive personal data. Vercel: Hosts our website. Vercel may collect server logs (IP addresses, request times) for security and performance monitoring. See Vercel's privacy policy for details. Twemoji (Twitter): Provides emoji images for the Emoji tool. Emoji images are loaded from Twitter's CDN. No tracking or data collection occurs.
4. How We Use Data
The limited data we collect serves specific purposes. Analytics data helps us improve the tools. For example, if we see that 80% of users prefer the Image Converter over other tools, we know to prioritize updates there. Theme and language cookies make your experience better by remembering your preferences across visits. Contact form submissions let us respond to your questions, bug reports, or feature requests. We don't use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties. We don't send marketing emails unless you specifically ask for updates.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the limited data we collect. Our website uses HTTPS encryption for all connections. This prevents third parties from intercepting data between your browser and our servers. Contact form submissions are encrypted in transit. We don't store credit card information because we don't charge for anything—all tools are free. The biggest security feature is that we don't collect sensitive data in the first place. Your images and text never reach our servers, so there's nothing to steal or leak.
6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
If you're in the European Union or California, you have specific privacy rights. Right to access: You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you (though we hold very little). Right to deletion: You can ask us to delete your data. For analytics, this means opting out. For contact form data, we'll delete your email from our records. Right to opt-out: You can disable Google Analytics using browser extensions or your browser's Do Not Track setting. Right to data portability: You can request your data in a machine-readable format. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days.
